We are proud to enter our 37th
year of Shaw University
Divinity's School Alexander/Pegues
Ministers' Conference.
This
year we
will be exploring "Transparency & Integrity in Ministry." To
explore this concept, we
will open on Monday Night at 7 p.m.
with our Conference Preacher, Rev. Dr. James Forbes, Jr.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, we will have preachers and
lecturers speaking
to the issue of transparency and integrity in ministry. On
Tuesday, the morning preacher will be Rev. Dr.
Patrice Fields and
the afternoon lecturer will be Rev. Dr. Sir Walter Mack, Jr. On Wednesday, the
morning preacher will be Rev. Dr. Debra Haggins O'Bryant. The
afternoon lecturers will include Rev. Dr. Urias Beverly and Rev. Dr.
Stephen J, Thurston, Jr. Then on Thursday, the morning preacher will
be Rev. Dr. Urias Beverly. The
afternoon lecturers will include the Dean of America's preachers, Rev. Dr.
Gardner C. Taylor, also Rev. Dr. Reginald High and Rev. Dr. B. W.
McClendon. The highlight of each day will be the evening worship
service, with the message delivered by our Conference Preacher, Rev.
Dr. James Forbes, Jr. The Conference will also
feature morning devotions and morning workshops.
Included in the Thursday evening
worship will be an Ecumenical Holy Communion
celebrating the Supreme Act of God’s Love in high pageantry.
This year's conference again promises to be filled with excellent preaching
and teaching.
